CaseStamp : Evidence Log

Privacy Policy

The app

CaseStamp stores all of your data — cases, photos, videos (including their audio), notes, contact logs, SHA-256 file hashes, and any preparer information you choose to enter (name, organization, employee ID, title) — locally on your own device. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising identifiers, and no servers.

Videos, including their audio, are stored only on your device like all other case data.

Reports you export leave your device only when and where you choose to send them, using your own apps — for example, email, Drive, Messages, or AirDrop. CaseStamp hands the file to whichever app you pick and has no further part in, or visibility into, what happens after that.

What the app collects

Nothing. CaseStamp has no servers of its own and collects nothing. The only network activity in the app is the optional $9.99 purchase (and restoring it), handled entirely by Apple or Google — everything else happens fully offline. Every case, photo, video (and its audio), note, contact entry, file hash, and piece of preparer information you enter is stored only in the app's local storage on your device, and is never transmitted anywhere by the app.

What we can't do

Because we collect nothing, we have nothing to disclose, sell, or delete on your behalf. We cannot see your data, recover it if your device is lost or the app is deleted, or restore it on a new device. You are responsible for backing up and exporting anything you want to keep.

Permissions the app requests

Camera — to capture photos and video directly into a case. Location — to stamp GPS coordinates on an entry at the moment it's captured. Photo library — to add an existing photo to a case from From library. Every permission is used only on-device, only for the entry you're creating at that moment, and nothing requested through any of them is transmitted anywhere. Denying location access doesn't stop the app from working — the entry still saves, just marked "location unavailable."

This website and support email

This website is served by Cloudflare Pages, which processes standard request data — such as IP address and browser type — to deliver the site and protect against abuse. There is no analytics or tracking script on this site.

If you email support@casestamp.com, we receive your email address and whatever you write to us. We use it only to respond to you — we don't add it to a mailing list or share it with anyone.

Children

CaseStamp is not directed to children and is intended for users 13 and older, matching our Terms of Use. Because the app collects no information from anyone, that includes children.

Purchases

CaseStamp is free to download. The optional $9.99 in-app purchase that unlocks exporting is processed entirely by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies, the same as the app download itself. We receive no payment information and no identifying information about who purchased it.

Your rights

Because the app collects nothing, there is no personal data held by us for you to access, correct, port, or delete. If you have a request related to the support inbox itself — for example, deleting an email you sent us — contact support@casestamp.com.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes — for example, if a future version of the app adds a feature that collects data — the app and this page will be updated before any collection begins.
